Tuning Forks
A tuning fork is a small, metal instrument with two prongs that produces a specific musical tone when struck against a surface or gently tapped. To activate a tuning fork, you strike it against a solid surface, such as your knee or a rubber mallet. This causes the prongs to vibrate and emit a steady tone. The vibration of the prongs creates a pure, consistent tone with a specific frequency.
In sound therapy sessions, tuning forks may be employed alongside other instruments or techniques to create a therapeutic environment and promote relaxation, stress reduction, and emotional release.
